The mission of the Re-Entry Clinical Housing and Supportive Services is to provide critical housing services to the chronically homeless and low income populations who are at risk of homelessness in our region. RCHSS has recently purchased a 10-bed house in San Bernardino, California. The goal of this project is to house at risk individuals for six to twelve months, providing them with intensive wrap-around services, and significantly lowering their risk of hospitalization, incarceration or other institutionalization that will burden the cities and other counties of funds that can be used in other needed areas.
RCHSS is positioned to provide interim, stable housing for members of this population. A secure, well-kept home in a safe neighborhood and three prepared, well-balanced meals per day provide the baseline for these clients. Wrap-around services like permanent housing, gainful employment, mental health counseling and alcohol/drug rehabilitation services. Clients have a private space where they can meet confidentially with housing case managers, job and housing navigator, and probation/parole officers. Each client is also provided with daily chores to assist with the upkeep of their home.
